A large angelfish of the Red Sea and Arabian region, deep blue overall with a bold yellow blotch on the flank. Adults cruise reefs and wrecks alone or in pairs, grazing on sponges and algae. Juveniles wear vertical blue-and-white bars before transforming into the adult pattern.
