About this site

Erg Somaya is a striking standalone coral tower rising from a sandy plateau near Abu Ramada, cloaked in soft corals and surrounded by clouds of glassfish and anthias. Crevices and overhangs shelter morays, groupers and lionfish, while the surrounding sand draws rays and the occasional passing pelagic. Its compact, photogenic structure makes for a rewarding single-pinnacle dive in generally calm water.
