About this site

The Excalibur is a small twin-mast cargo and sail vessel resting upright on a flat sandy seabed near Hurghada, with its deck at around 14 m and the hull bottoming out near 22 m. The rotted decking has left a skeletal frame entirely draped in soft corals, with sunlight filtering through the ribs into the old saloon and cabins. Shallow, sheltered and easy to penetrate, it is an ideal first wreck for Open Water and wreck-training divers.
