Lunar Fusilier

Caesio lunaris
About the species

A sleek blue fusilier with a deeply forked tail, schooling in mid-water to feed on drifting plankton. Their silvery-blue bodies flash in unison as the school turns. A common open-water sight on Red Sea reef edges and a staple food for passing predators.
