About this site

Panorama Reef (Abu Alama) is one of Safaga's signature dives, a large oval reef whose northern and southern plateaus drop into deep blue water draped with huge gorgonian fans and soft corals. Sloping shelves at 20-30 m attract Napoleon wrasse, schooling barracuda, tuna and occasional reef sharks, with whitetips often patrolling the western side. Currents and the open setting reward divers with frequent pelagic encounters.
