About this site

Abu Kafan is a long, narrow reef rising from deep water, considered the premier dive of the Safaga area with breathtaking cliffs falling away on its east and west flanks. The north and south plateaus, dense with soft corals and gorgonians, host schooling barracuda, jacks, glasseye sweepers in their hundreds, and hammerheads in late summer. Frequent currents make it an exhilarating drift along the walls for experienced divers.
