How we decide what makes the catalogue and what doesn't, what we verify, and what we change when we get something wrong.
Every site description is written or edited by a Cartographer-tier diver who has been there in the last 18 months. Marine-life probabilities are derived from verified sightings, not from a fixed list.
Description over hype. We don't write 'unmissable' or 'paradise'. If a site is technical and unpleasant for most divers, we say so. The reader is treated as an adult.
IUCN for conservation status. Diver-verified sightings for probability. Bathymetry and currents from public marine charts. Photographs from contributors with explicit consent.
Found something wrong? Flag it. Significant corrections get a dated note on the site page; small fixes happen silently. Editorial diffs are available on request.
