About this site

The eastern point of Gubal Island, marked by an old lighthouse, offering a classic drift along a sloping wall covered in soft corals and fire coral. Tucked into the shallows lies the small Barge wreck, broken and encrusted, famous as one of the Red Sea's best night dives for resident moray eels, lionfish, crocodilefish and feeding stingrays. A popular sheltered overnight mooring on Thistlegorm itineraries.
