About this site

A large horseshoe-shaped reef system roughly an hour north of El Gouna, Shaab El Erg is famous for the resident pod of bottlenose dolphins that rest and play in its sheltered lagoon channel. The shallow inner reef and sandy patches make for easy, relaxed diving rich with hard corals, turtles and napoleon wrasse. It is the signature dolphin encounter of the northern Hurghada coast.
