About this site

Sha'ab El Erg is a large horseshoe-shaped reef north of Hurghada, renowned as Dolphin House for the resident pod of spinner dolphins that often rests in its sheltered lagoon. The shallow reef of 5-15 m offers easy diving and snorkelling over coral gardens, with seasonal manta rays, turtles and abundant reef fish.
