Endemic to the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden, this elegant fish trails a long white dorsal banner above bold black bars on a white-and-yellow body. Often mistaken for a Moorish idol, it drifts in pairs or small groups along reef walls. It feeds on zooplankton and sometimes cleans parasites from larger fish.
