About this site

Dangerous Reef (Gota Gibli) is a horseshoe-shaped reef in southern St John's, bottoming out on sand at around 30 m and surrounded by abundant marine life. The shallow coral gardens teem with anthias and reef fish, while the outer edges attract grey reef sharks, whitetips and the occasional hammerhead. Named for the navigational risk it poses to boats, it is a rewarding and biodiverse dive.
