Titan Triggerfish

Balistoides viridescens
LC· Least concernCaution

The Red Sea's largest triggerfish, a heavy-bodied reef bruiser that fearlessly excavates sand for invertebrates. During nesting it becomes ferociously territorial, charging and biting divers who stray over its conical guarded zone. Its powerful beak-like teeth can crush coral and inflict serious wounds.
