About this site

The southernmost of the Tiran reefs, Gordon is crowned by the dramatic wreck of the Loullia cargo ship grounded on the reef in 1981 and a beacon tower marking the shipping channel. A sandy amphitheatre on the sheltered side hosts the famous 'shark pool' where whitetip reef sharks rest, alongside garden eels, stingrays and a notable barrel-coral garden. Calmer than its neighbours, it suits a wide range of divers.
