About this site

Middle Reef is a broad reef whose southeastern side forms a labyrinth of hard coral blocks nicknamed the 'Swiss cheese' for its maze of canyons, swim-throughs and sandy gullies. The exposed outer face offers a fast, wild drift dive past a coral garden and gentle drop-off. Glassfish, lionfish, morays and reef fish fill the cracks, making it a rewarding site for navigation-savvy divers.
