About this site

El Kaf, meaning 'the cave', lies about 10 km south of El Quseir town and is the area's premier canyon dive. A wide main canyon with high walls and dramatic skylights cuts through the reef, offering shafts of sunlight and superb wide-angle photography, while smaller passages and caves riddle the surrounding coral garden. Glassfish, sweepers and the occasional reef shark patrol the cracks and overhangs.
