About the species

A striking moray covered in a dense black honeycomb pattern over a white body, its colours varying with habitat. It tucks into reef crevices with only its patterned head and gaping jaws showing. Largely nocturnal, it hunts fish and octopus, and is harmless if left undisturbed.
