About this site

The Hamada is a small cargo vessel that sank in 1993 in the bay of Abu Ghusun, south of Marsa Alam, now lying on its port side in shallow water. The accessible, well-lit wreck sits between roughly 5 and 18 m and is encrusted with soft corals, sheltering glassfish, lionfish and the occasional turtle. Its modest depth and calm bay make it an excellent introductory wreck dive.
