About this site

Habili Ali is an isolated oval submerged reef in the far south of St John's, rising from depths beyond 70 m and famous for some of the richest soft-coral growth in the Egyptian Red Sea. Strong currents draw grey reef sharks, schooling jacks, snappers and barracuda, with seasonal oceanic whitetips, hammerheads and mantas patrolling the blue. As a fully exposed offshore habili it is only diveable in calm conditions.
