Bluespotted Stingray

Neotrygon kuhlii
LC· Least concernCaution

Often confused with the ribbontail, this stingray has a more angular, kite-shaped disc dusted with blue spots and a banded tail. It typically lies half-buried in sand or seagrass, flicking up sediment as it forages. Quieter and shyer than its showier relatives.
