About this site

The Qulaan (Hamata) archipelago of Wadi el Gemal National Park is a cluster of low sandy islands fringed by Egypt's largest mangrove forest and vast turquoise seagrass lagoons. The shallow, protected reef flats and seagrass meadows are a feeding ground for dugongs, green and hawksbill turtles, and inquisitive spinner dolphins, making it a premier snorkelling and shallow-dive site.
