An elegant sweetlips boldly striped in black and white with yellow-spotted fins, hovering motionless under ledges by day. The dramatically different spotted juveniles wiggle conspicuously to mimic toxic flatworms. At dusk they emerge to feed on bottom invertebrates across the reef.
