About this site

A 126 m British armed merchant ship sunk by German bombers in October 1941, lying upright in 30 m on a sandy bottom near Sha'ab Ali. Her holds are packed with WWII cargo: BSA and Norton motorcycles, Bedford trucks, Universal Carriers, rifles, Wellington boots and railway rolling stock on deck. The blown-open stern, twin locomotives blasted to the seabed and resident batfish make this an unrivalled wreck experience.
