Coral (Red Sea Coral) Grouper

Cephalopholis miniata
About the species

A vivid orange-red grouper dusted with electric-blue spots, perched watchfully on coral heads and reef edges. An ambush predator, it darts out to snatch small fish and crustaceans. Often it teams up with moray eels and Napoleon wrasse to hunt cooperatively along the reef.
